Since 1992, the Omega Foundation has promoted the savings capacities of families living on modest incomes through various micro-financing programs, including Calmeadow, SmartSAVER and EcoSAVER.
Our SmartSAVER program helped the parents of over 50,000 children to open RESPs and receive their Canada Learning Bonds (CLBs).
This unlocked over $100 million CAD for their future post-secondary studies.
Together with the CLB Champion’s Network, SmartSAVER helped to raise the Canada Learning Bond participation rate from 19% to 40% nationally.
